Dr. Safille is a
clinical cardiologist that has been in practice since 1987. He was
originally born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States at the age of
three. Dr. Safille was raised and lived in South Florida most of his
Dr. Safille went to the
University of Miami from 1975-1978, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a
Bachelor’s of Science Degree. He then obtained his medical degree from
the University of Miami, School of Medicine in 1982. He completed a
one year medical internship at the University of South Carolina and two years
of internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach,
Florida. His cardiovascular fellowship was completed in 1987 at Mount
Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Safille has been in
private practice since 1987 and is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease,
Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Internal Medicine.
Dr. Safille is married
with 5 children. His hobbies include traveling, golfing, fishing, and
bowling. Dr. Safille is also an avid sports fan and movie buff.
Dr. Bahekar is board
certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional
Cardiology, Nuclear cardiology and Vascular Medicine. His practices include all
areas of cardiovascular medicine, including clinical cardiology, interventional
cardiology and peripheral vascular diseases. Dr. Bahekar went to medical school
at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India. He completed his residency in Internal
Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular medicine at Rosalind Franklin
University/Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, Illinois. He completed
interventional fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Bahekar also has Public Health(MPH) degree from West Virginia University,
Morgantown, West Virginia.
He is a
Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His
clinical interests include invasive cardiology procedures such as complex
coronary interventions (Pioneer in using Impella device at Cape Fear Valley
cardiac catheterization lab), management of peripheral arterial and venous
disease with special interest in critical limb ischemia and limb salvage with
endovascular approach. Dr. Bahekar has published several
peer reviewed scientific articles in reputed journals and presented scientific
abstracts at several national conferences.
Santhosh Reddy Devarapally
Devarapally (Dr. Reddy) completed his medical education at Gandhi Medical
College in India. He then went on to finish post-doctoral training in
Internal Medicine from Columbia University College of Physicians and
Surgeons/St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
Dr. Reddy did his
cardiovascular fellowship at New York Methodist Hospital, Weil Cornell
University where he served as Chief Fellow of the cardiovascular fellowship
program. His research interests include hypertension and heart
failure. He has several publications in peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr. Reddy is board
certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and
