Dr. Divyang Patel, MD

 

Dr. Patel is a board certified in Internal Medicine,Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. His practices include all areasof cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiology. Dr. Patel attended medicalschool at Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College Gujarat University in Ahmedabad,India. After completing his residency in many rotations, he become a staff cardiologistin a few nearby hospitals. In the fall of 1996, Dr. Patel opened theFayetteville Heart Center. He is the founder and the President of thispractice. For over 20 plus year, this cardiologist office is one of the fewoldest practices in Fayetteville, NC. In 2017, Dr. Patel opened Harnett Heartand Vascular Center in Dunn, NC. Dr. Patel is also a staff cardiologist at CapeFear Valley Hospital and Bladen County Hospital.

 

Dr. Patel hold many honors over his years, in 2004, he wasnamed the Physician of the year at Cape Fear Valley Health System. He is afellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Patel is the associatedirector of the Cardiology Fellowship at Cape Fear Valley.

Dr. Amol Bahekar, MD

Dr. Bahekar is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear cardiology and Vascular Medicine. His practices include all areas of cardiovascular medicine, including clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular diseases. Dr. Bahekar went to medical school at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular medicine at Rosalind Franklin University/Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, Illinois. He completed interventional fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Bahekar also has Public Health(MPH) degree from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia. 

He is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. His clinical interests include invasive cardiology procedures such as complex coronary interventions (Pioneer in using Impella device at Cape Fear Valley cardiac catheterization lab),TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), management of peripheral arterial and venous disease with special interest in critical limb ischemia and limb salvage with endovascular approach. Dr. Bahekar was the first physician to perform the TAVR procedure at Cape Fear Valley Hospital. Dr. Bahekar has published several peer reviewed scientific articles in reputed journals and presented scientific abstracts at several national conferences.

Dr. Sirisha Reddy, MD

Dr. Reddy earned her medical degree from Rajah Muthiah Medical College in India. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. After spending a a couple of years in Heart failure research at UNC-Chapel Hill , Dr. Reddy went on to complete the Clinical Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, followed by Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
Dr. Reddy has been in Practice of Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology since 2006. She specializes in complex ablations of cardiac arrhythmias, and a wide range of Device Implantations along with pursuing her interest in management of Heart Failure. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, and Cardiac Electrophysiology. 
Dr. Reddy has a special interest in taking care of women with heart disease. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and their 2 grown up children.

Dr. Raviteja R. Guddeti, MD.

After finishing medical school in India, Dr. Guddeti moved to the United States to pursue his dream of training in Cardiovascular Diseases. He completed a year of a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, followed by another year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he published several papers in esteemed journals and also presented abstracts at International conferences. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin, and his General Cardiology fellowship at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He served as chief resident and chief fellow during his residency and fellowship respectively. Dr. Guddeti won several accolades during his training, some of which include Outstanding resident of the year and fellow of the year awards. He also served as Chair of the ACC Nebraska poster session for the academic year 2019-2020. He later completed a year of Interventional Cardiology fellowship from the prestigious Minneapolis Heart Institute where he trained in complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support including Impella, ECMO, Protek Duo device placements, coronary chronic total occlusions, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), PFO/ASD device closures.

Dr. Guddeti's clinical interests include complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support devices, and structural heart procedures including TAVR and PFO/ASD closures. His future interests include MitaClip/TMVR and WATCHMAN devices. Dr. Guddeti continues to be active in research publishing papers in international journals and presenting scientific abstracts at International conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease as well

Dr. CHETAN LOKHANDE

Dr. Lokhande's medical journey is indeed remarkable, having completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the prestigious University of Massachusetts-Baystate Medical Center and gaining experience at renowned institutions like Beth Israel Medical Center (Harvard University) and Cleveland Clinic.

Throughout his eight years of training, Dr. Lokhande excelled as a clinician, proceduralist, researcher, and educator. His exceptional leadership skills were recognized when he served as Chief Resident/Assistant Program Director of the internal medicine residency program at Cleveland Clinic Foundation's Fairview Hospital.

Dr. Lokhande's dedication to cardiovascular disease prevention and healthcare improvement is evident in his patient-centered approach. He emphasizes spending time with patients to ensure they understand their conditions and strongly advocates for lifestyle counseling, screening, and effective medications to prevent unnecessary emergency room visits.

Originally from Mumbai, India, Dr. Lokhande's medical education at K.J. Somaiya Medical College set a strong foundation for his successful career. Apart from medicine, he enjoys being a national level chess player and indulges in hobbies like cooking, traveling, hiking, and cherishing moments with his family.

With board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine and nuclear cardiology, and being board eligible for interventional cardiology, Dr. Lokhande is well trained to handle complex coronary cases. Mr. William Cotton, Pa-C

William Cotton is one of Fayetteville Heart Center’s Physician Assistant. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology and Cell Physiology from Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. He obtained his Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistants Studies from Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC. 
Before becoming a PA, Mr. Cotton worked for the United States Army Reserves and for the Pediatric Services of America as a LPN. Upon completion of his PA degree, he held rotations in Fayetteville Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, Family Practices, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Radiology, Emergency Medicine and Orthopedic rotations. Mr. Cotton was a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant prior to working for the Fayetteville Heart Center. Working at the Fayetteville Heart Center, he has a Cardiac Specialty. He will be evaluating patient cardiac complains, examining echocardiograms, administering holter monitors and cardiac catheterization and he will perform the stress test along with evaluate results for further work or testing.

Stephen Okyere Badoo earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Nutrition from the University of Ghana, where he developed a strong foundation in healthcare and a deep understanding of the important connection between nutrition and overall well-being. Stephen pursued a Master of Science in nursing as an adult-gerontology acute care NP from Maryville University in St Luis, MO. The advanced degree equipped Stephen with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensivecare to individuals across the adult lifespan. Throughout his career, he has gained invaluable experience in various healthcare settings; he initially started as a nurse at the trust hospital ni Accra, Ghana, where he developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for patient care. Stephen transitioned to the United States, working at Lower General Hospital in Lowell, MA, and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. The experience allowed Stephen to expand his clinical expertise and refine his skills in providing exceptional patient care. To significantly impact critical care, Stephen dedicated 14 years as an ICU nurse at Duke University Hospital, a renowned medical institution. This role has exposed him to complex cardiovascular cases and reinforced his commitment to patient well-being. Eager to further contribute to the field, Stephen transitioned to the position of a nurse practitioner at North Carolina Heart and Vascular Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions. As a valued member of our team at FHC, Stephen brings his expertise as a cardiology NP, specializing ni preventing, diagnosing, and treating heart-related diseases. At HCF, Stephen will work with the cardiology experts to provide patient-centered care that prioritizes each patient's needs. He shares his team's belief in building a trusting relationship with patients, fostering new communication, and actively involving them in their healthcare decision by listening attentively to their concerns. He Ensures that each patient's every aspect of cardiovascular health is addressed by creating a personalized treatment plans that optimize heart health and improve overall well being.

Mrs. Sarah Ruiz, PA-C

Sarah Ruiz received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC Pembroke in 2016. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Methodist University in 2019. She has worked in hospitalist medicine, critical care, and emergency medicine. Prior to becoming a PA, Sarah was a Cumberland County paramedic for nearly 12 years. Originally from Sacramento, California, Sarah moved to Fayetteville over 20 years ago when she was stationed at Ft. Bragg on active duty in the U.S. Army.
