Dr. Patel is a board certified in Internal Medicine,Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. His practices include all areasof cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiology. Dr. Patel attended medicalschool at Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College Gujarat University in Ahmedabad,India. After completing his residency in many rotations, he become a staff cardiologistin a few nearby hospitals. In the fall of 1996, Dr. Patel opened theFayetteville Heart Center. He is the founder and the President of thispractice. For over 20 plus year, this cardiologist office is one of the fewoldest practices in Fayetteville, NC. In 2017, Dr. Patel opened Harnett Heartand Vascular Center in Dunn, NC. Dr. Patel is also a staff cardiologist at CapeFear Valley Hospital and Bladen County Hospital.
Dr. Patel hold many honors over his years, in 2004, he wasnamed the Physician of the year at Cape Fear Valley Health System. He is afellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Patel is the associatedirector of the Cardiology Fellowship at Cape Fear Valley.
After finishing medical school in India, Dr. Guddeti moved to the United States to pursue his dream of training in Cardiovascular Diseases. He completed a year of a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, followed by another year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he published several papers in esteemed journals and also presented abstracts at International conferences. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin, and his General Cardiology fellowship at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He served as chief resident and chief fellow during his residency and fellowship respectively. Dr. Guddeti won several accolades during his training, some of which include Outstanding resident of the year and fellow of the year awards. He also served as Chair of the ACC Nebraska poster session for the academic year 2019-2020. He later completed a year of Interventional Cardiology fellowship from the prestigious Minneapolis Heart Institute where he trained in complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support including Impella, ECMO, Protek Duo device placements, coronary chronic total occlusions, transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR), PFO/ASD device closures.
Dr. Guddeti's clinical interests include complex coronary interventions, mechanical circulatory support devices, and structural heart procedures including TAVR and PFO/ASD closures. His future interests include MitaClip/TMVR and WATCHMAN devices. Dr. Guddeti continues to be active in research publishing papers in international journals and presenting scientific abstracts at International conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is board certified in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease as well

The advanced degree equipped Stephen with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensivecare to individuals across the adult lifespan. Throughout his career, he has gained invaluable experience in various healthcare settings; he initially started as a nurse at the trust hospital ni Accra, Ghana, where he developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep appreciation for patient care. Stephen transitioned to the United States, working at Lower General Hospital in Lowell, MA, and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. The experience allowed Stephen to expand his clinical expertise and refine his skills in providing exceptional patient care. To significantly impact critical care, Stephen dedicated 14 years as an ICU nurse at Duke University Hospital, a renowned medical institution. This role has exposed him to complex cardiovascular cases and reinforced his commitment to patient well-being. Eager to further contribute to the field, Stephen transitioned to the position of a nurse practitioner at North Carolina Heart and Vascular Hospital, where he gained valuable experience in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular conditions. Sarah Ruiz received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC Pembroke in 2016. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Methodist University in 2019. She has worked in hospitalist medicine, critical care, and emergency medicine. Prior to becoming a PA, Sarah was a Cumberland County paramedic for nearly 12 years. Originally from Sacramento, California, Sarah moved to Fayetteville over 20 years ago when she was stationed at Ft. Bragg on active duty in the U.S. Army.
